Join a Volunteer Committee
Interested in getting more involved with Habitat? There are many ways to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity of Denton County and support affordable housing initiatives in your community – even beyond the build site. Check out the list of Habitat Volunteer Committees below and find the one that is right for you. Please contact Executive Director, Lora Blakeslee Atkinson, at (940) 484-5006, ext. 9017 or firstname.lastname@example.org if interested for more information.
The Build Committee is made up of skilled volunteers with a passion for helping our Partner Families build their homes. These volunteers are our build leaders and volunteer on a regular basis. This committee regularly meets once a month to discuss construction progress on the homes, and they typically volunteer on the build sites 2-3 times per week. Contact email@example.com if interested.
Homeownership Services Committee
The Homeownership Services Committee is made up of volunteers who have a desire to help, educate, and walk alongside our Partner Families. Members of this committee help select new Partner Families for our Homeownership Program, act as liaisons between a Partner Family and Habitat, regularly meet once a month, and more. Contact NancyRod@hfhdentoncounty.org if interested.
Land Acquisition Committee
The Land Acquisition Committee is made up of volunteers who research and seek out buildable lots for Habitat for Humanity of Denton County to purchase and build affordable homes on. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org if interested.
